Alicia Manteiga

Senior Program Manager

Alicia Manteiga, Senior Program Manager, manages African Access Initiative (AAI) members and partners in Rwanda and Kenya, as well as projects across BVGH’s network of program partners. With over a decade of experience in public health, Alicia specializes in capacity building programs in low- and middle-income countries. She has also conducted research focused on preventing non-communicable diseases through physical activity, co-authoring several peer-reviewed articles. Additionally, Alicia taught a graduate-level course in public health program management for multiple semesters at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, where she earned her MPH degree. Previously, Alicia served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Dominican Republic. In her leisure time, she enjoys tackling the Sunday New York Times crossword and taking her husband and son on hikes in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area.
