Senior Program Manager
Carly is a Holland High Potential Scholarship recipient and a graduate from Maastricht University in the Netherlands with a M.Sc. in Epidemiology with foci in cancer, congestive heart failure and musculoskeletal diseases. Prior to pursuing her studies in epidemiology, she spent 10 years working in clinical care as a Certified Surgical Technologist at Providence Portland Medical Center, a leading cancer center in the Pacific Northwest. Her passion for global health was ignited during her medical mission to Guatemala in 2012 in addition to her own journey as a patient. Collectively, these experiences inspired her passion to impact health on a larger scale than one patient at a time. Her most recent work experience was with Shriners Hospital for Children-Portland improving value by placing the patient’s voice at the center of care delivery to optimize treatment pathways, mitigate risk and drive outcomes quality as the Clinical Outcomes Coordinator and PROMIS Program lead. Lastly, she is particularly interested in improving cancer treatment outcomes, healthcare quality and mitigating disease burden in low and middle-income countries.
