Now Hiring: Program Manager/ Senior Program Manager

(September 2019) Our team is growing! BVGH is now hiring a qualified candidate for a Program Manager/Senior Program Manager position in Seattle. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about impacting global health and is eager to work hard to see our programs succeed and goals realized.

The successful candidate will play a key role working across BVGH programs with a particular focus on WIPO Re:Search and AAI. He/she will be responsible for developing and implementing program strategies while contributing to and ensuring the ongoing successes of BVGH’s programs. Skills needed include excellent writing, communication and strategic report development capabilities and strong attention to detail, along with the ability to multitask and manage multiple responsibilities at once.

AAI Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage and implement AAI in collaboration with our partners and the BVGH team
  • Develop reports and proposals by analyzing multiple sources to clearly identify challenges, issues, and solutions
  • Proactively identify opportunities and develop publications and reports for diverse audiences to support AAI and other BVGH programs
  • Engage partners and participants in AAI and maintain communication with all stakeholders

WIPO Re:Search Responsibilities:

  • Prepare profiles of potential WIPO Re:Search partner organizations that include descriptions of leadership, fields of interest, current research programs, and opportunities for partnership with BVGH
  • Contribute to WIPO Re:Search partnering activities and management
  • Contribute to proposals, reports, presentations, publications, and other communication materials for WIPO Re:Search and other BVGH programs, including performing background research and analysis and preparing text
  • Contribute to other BVGH programs as needed


  • Undergraduate degree required. Graduate degree a plus
  • 7-10 years relevant experience in program management
  • Experience conducting research and condensing and conveying complex information in a concise and strategic manner
  • Strategic thinker with experience creating plans and proposals
  • Experience conceiving and developing publications for diverse audiences
  • Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities
  • Commitment to and passion for contributing to healthcare solutions for low- and middle-income countries
  • Strong sense of professionalism, personal responsibility, and accountability
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated track record of success, achievement and passion for taking on challenges.
  • Positive, “can do” attitude, and a strong desire to be helpful and work hard to build a successful global health organization
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift and can change rapidly
  • Enjoy working in an organization with limited resources where everyone needs to wear all hats and do whatever needs to be done, including taking out the garbage, when necessary

Compensation and Schedule:

  • Compensation will be determined based on experience
  • Two weeks of vacation per year
  • Full time position
