FundFinder

About FundFinder

The lack of awareness of and access to high-quality funding presents a significant barrier to advancing research and product development, and building healthcare capacity, in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). The BVGH FundFinder database provides LMIC scientists and healthcare providers working in cancer, infectious diseases, and other disease areas with critical information about open and upcoming funding opportunities—including research, training, scholarship, fellowship, and travel awards. Database entries can be filtered to streamline identification of relevant opportunities.

BVGH sources funding opportunities from over 200 major international foundations; government agencies; multinational and multilateral organizations; academic institutions; professional societies; and pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. BVGH FundFinder also includes alternative funding sources specializing in creative and innovative financing schemes. BVGH continuously searches for additional funding sources to ensure the database captures all available funding opportunities relevant to our partners.

How to Use FundFinder

See the form below for available funding opportunities. Click the plus button on the left to view more information, and the “Open Here” button on the right to open the opportunity on the original funder’s site.

When searching for specific terms (i.e. “fellowship”, “hematology”, “database”), please try multiple variants in the search bar as exact terms vary across funders. When filtering by deadline date, grants marked as “Open” will not be shown due to having no due date.
