The Presbyterian Hospital in Mbujimayi is a private agreement with the Congolese state. The hospital has 100 beds and treats patients from Mubjimayi and the Kasai Oriental region. The hospital has never conducted clinical trials before. Data on AC3T’s cancer clinical trial capacity shows that Mbujimayi Presbyterian Hospital needs to build capacity in multiple dimensions to conduct cancer clinical trials. The hospital does not currently have a full-service pathology laboratory, although there is a pathologist on staff.
