WIPO Re:Search Publications

WIPO Re:Search was an international public-private consortium co-led by BVGH and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). Through the Consortium, BVGH catalyzed cross-sector, intellectual property-sharing R&D collaborations and capacity building fellowships to drive innovation for neglected tropical diseases, malaria, and tuberculosis.

BVGH Accelerates R&D for Neglected Diseases through WIPO Re:Search Collaborations

BIO Ventures for Global Health (BVGH) today released its second compilation of WIPO Re:Search collaboration stories featuring partnerships accelerating neglected disease research. WIPO Re:Search, established by the World Intellectual Property Organization in partnership with BVGH and several leading pharmaceutical companies, brings scientists from academia and biopharmaceutical companies together to develop new therapies for diseases centered in developing nations. BVGH initiates these partnerships by identifying relevant research assets in pharmaceutical companies and matches them with academic researchers working on neglected tropical diseases. Read More

WIPO Re:Search Partnership Stories 2013-2015

Since its launch in October 2011, WIPO Re:Search has exceeded our greatest expectations. We have made tremendous progress connecting researchers, facilitating collaborations, and advancing research and development in neglected tropical diseases, malaria, and tuberculosis. Members currently hail from 27 countries, with collaborations crossing oceans and spanning the globe. As of October 2015, BVGH has facilitated 95 agreements between WIPO Re:Search
members. Of the 95 agreements, 47 are ongoing and eight have met important development milestones. Read More
