BVGH Highlights the Importance of Partnership at the World Health Assembly

During the 79th World Health Assembly in Geneva, BVGH President and CEO Jennifer Dent participated in a high-level GE HealthCare panel discussion, “From Resolution to Results: Advancing Medical Imaging Capacity for Equitable Care.”

The discussion brought together leaders from government, industry, multilateral organizations, academia, and civil society to explore practical strategies for expanding access to medical imaging technologies in low- and middle-income countries. Drawing on BVGH’s experience across the African Access Initiative, Jennifer emphasized the critical role of public-private partnerships in addressing barriers to access, strengthening healthcare workforce capacity, and ensuring that diagnostic and imaging technologies are integrated into broader health system priorities.

The session reinforced a central theme of BVGH’s work: sustainable improvements in healthcare require collaboration across sectors, with local leadership and country priorities at the center of implementation.
