Cancer treatment is constantly evolving as new research is conducted and new treatments are developed. To ensure that they can answer their patients’ questions about the latest treatment options and advocate for access to these treatments, AAI hospital staff asked BVGH for training on cutting-edge cancer care. In response, BVGH partnered with American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) to host a monthly lecture series covering treatment advances for cancers prevalent in Africa, including liver, prostate, colorectal, and breast cancers. The AAI & ASCO Frontiers in Cancer Treatment digital course featured expert trainers from Fred Hutch Cancer Center, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Obafemi Awolowo University, the University of Toronto, Baptist Cancer Center, and more. This course was attended by over 500 participants from 61 countries and will be available on BVGH Learn here.
