Diagnostic imaging plays a vital role in the accurate diagnosis, monitoring, and management of cancer. To support radiology teams in Africa, BVGH, in collaboration with the Global Health Catalyst, organized and led a 13-session digital lecture series aimed at boosting radiological capacity in the diagnosis and management of prostate cancer, colorectal cancer, breast cancer, and hematologic malignancies.
The digital course attracted over 300 radiologists and other physicians from more than 30 countries. Leading experts from esteemed institutions such as Harvard University, Uganda Cancer Institute, Cleveland Clinic, and New York University shared their knowledge on critical topics, including cancer staging systems, etiology, pathogenesis, and the essential role of imaging in diagnosing and managing these common cancers in Africa.
