
In response to many similar topic requests from our partners, BVGH organized and led a 5-lecture digital training program on the Fundamentals of Biomedical Research Part I, now available on BVGH Learn. The course, which was designed for professionals in low- and middle-income countries, attracted 984 participants from 79 countries. Experts from the University of Washington, University of British Columbia, DNDi, Wellcome Trust, and Baylor College of Medicine covered topics prioritized by BVGH partners, including diagnostic development, identifying and securing research funding, and the biomedical research landscape.
Building on the Fundamentals of Biomedical Research Part I, BVGH led a 9-lecture digital training series on the Fundamentals of Biomedical Research Part II, which drew 2,341 participants from 101 countries. Faculty from Vanderbilt University, the American Society for Microbiology, Stanford University, Taylor & Francis, and the University of Pennsylvania covered data management systems, applied statistical analysis, and navigating the publication process.
